Workers who get the pink slip can have the last laugh.

A new line of greeting cards pokes fun at corporate types who wield the ax.

“I think they’re therapeutic,” said John Zappa, of Austin, Texas, who created the cards with friend and former Dell Computer co-worker Chris Wentz. Wentz was among dozens of Dell employees fired during mass layoffs last year. Zappa left the company before the layoffs.

The cards use Depression-era images with humorous quips penned by Zappa. “They’re not rude. They’re just sarcastic,” he said.

The cards are only available online at www.pinkslipcards.com.
