John W. “Bill” Guy, 86, born Jan. 20, 1916 in Chicago, IL, to John and Elizabeth Lapinska Guy. Mr. Guy died Tuesday, March 12, at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He married Theresa Medgren on July 21, 1951 in Palatine, IL. He was a buyer in the floor covering business for over 25 years. He was a resident of Midway, AR, since moving from Fox River Grove, IL, in 1970. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Methodist Church. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II. He is survived by his son, James Guy of Midway, AR; daughter, JoAnn E. Guy of Cary, IL; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside service 2 p.m., Friday, March 15, at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Military Honors will be provided by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council.
