William L. Marhoefer, age 80, longtime resident of Palos Park, died suddenly from a “broken heart” (attack) due to the recent loss of his beloved wife of 53 years Pearl, nee Knudsen; loving father of William K. (Michelle) Marhoefer and Lynne (Gregg) Vavra; devoted PaPa of Sonia and Chloe Vavra; dear brother of Fred (Jeanne) Marhoefer and the late Eric (Maynette) Marhoefer; fond brother-in-law of the late Edward (Thora) Gutmann, Kenneth (LaVern) Khuans and Kenneth Knudsen; proud uncle of many nieces and nephews; dear friend and neighbor to many. All around nice guy.
