August A. Van Daele, 88, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Chicago, passed away March 9, 2002, well known as a grocer and gardener, preceded in death by his first wife, Anne; his daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis (Bill) Reynolds. Gus is survived by his wife, Flora; his daughters, Leah Rohde, Debbie (Greg) Huml and Liz (Dan) Smith; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were held in Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
