I want to thank the Tribune for deciding to run the Iowa-Indiana game and Luke Recker’s heroics in the Big Ten tournament as the lead story in the March 11 sports section. You could have easily made a big deal of yet another disappointing Illinois tournament loss, but made the correct decision, much to the delight of Windy City Hawkeyes fans.
Over the years I thought the Trib displayed a negative bias toward the school. But the great photo and headline (“He’s a bracket Recker”) wiped the slate clean. You’re forgiven.
