Lois C. Gonyea, nee Monahan, 82, passed away March 16, 2002 in the comfort and love of St. Raphael’s Home for the Aged. Predeceased by husband, Leo E. Gonyea and son, Leo T. Gonyea; survived by daughters, Margaret (James) Healy and Marilyn Barbat; son, James E. Gonyea; 10 granchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren. Enthusiastic, athletic, adventurous and independent, Lois, a native of Chicago, pursued a diverse career in sales and marketing before establishing the Bavaria Haus Restaurant, in Johnsburg, IL. In Columbus, OH, she was the much appreciated food manager for SOS Productions and their clients. Lois was challenged to raise three children alone during WW II, while husband Leo served with the US infantry. Visitation Tuesday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/Schaumbrug. Funeral time pending.
