I am in complete agreement with Rick Morrissey’s In the Wake of the News column of Sunday, March 10. In fact, when I read the column I thought it was something I wrote in a dream.

I am very much pro-White Sox, have been since I was a kid and still am at age 75. This year’s Sox pitching staff is digressing, as it has been starting with the Ron Schueler days: Britt Burns, Jack McDowell, Alex Fernandez, Wilson Alvarez. Terry Bevington and Jerry Manuel used their pitchers like they have rubber arms.

Mr. Ken Williams should use the excess outfielders and the one or two spare infielders he has to go out and trade for a couple of proven pitchers. This roster as it now stands could finish as low as fourth or fifth place. This is not a division-winning team.
