John E. Weglarz, 83, of Aurora, formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, March 15, 2002 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. We remember John as a husband, father, grandfather, WWII Veteran, Scout Leader, Holy Society member and president, Numismatist, Philatelist and Ornithologist. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Clara “Honey” K. Weglarz; four children, Mary L. Kaleta, Linda M. Weglarz, D.D.S. (J. David Siegfried, M.D.), Claudia Burns and John D. Weglarz (Lynn); six grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. from The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, for 10 a.m. Mass at Holy Angels Church, Fr. Victor Alcazar Celebrant. Interment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2002 from 3 to 8 p.m., with a Liturgical Wake Service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Weglarz’ name may be made to the Chicago branch of Alzheimer’s Foundation or Fox Valley VNA Hospice.
