Robert E. Maguiness, 76, of Jupiter, FL, passed away Monday, March 18, 2002. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he had been a resident of Jupiter for nine years, coming from Cary, IL. He was formerly a Vice President of Bank One (Citizens Bank) in Park Ridge, IL and more recently worked part time at Penske Trucking Co. in Riviera Beach. He graduated from Plainfield High School in New Jersey and attended Rollings College. During World War II he served in the U.S. Marines. He was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Linda Lombardo Maguiness of Jupiter; two sons, David Maguiness of Carmel, IN and Robert Scott Maguiness of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Eliza Hollis of Cary, IL; a sister, Joyce Jenny of Ft. Myers, FL; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Brett Maguiness; and a brother, Gordon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Bob Maguiness to the PGA Foundation, 100 Avenue of Champions, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418.
