Yvonne H. Ratter, age 78, of Burlington, WI, formerly of Gainsville, GA, died March 18, 2002, Mt. Carmel Medical & Rehab Center, born Sept. 8, 1923, Dolthan, AL, daughter of Rufus and Sarah, nee Dowling, Hulsey, early life spent in Gainsville, GA, then Washington D.C., married May 3, 1947 in Washington D.C. to Scott Ratter who preceded her in death Nov. 5, 1990, following marriage lived in Chicago, then Clarendon Hills, IL, then retired to Gainsville, GA, manager of the book department, then the art gallery, Christmas shop and lamp department at Marshall Field & Co., became a buyer for the lamp department, resident of Burlington since 1999, education in Washington D.C., Woodrow Wilson High School, attended college in the Washington D.C. area, former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gainsville in Gainsville, GA, involved with Newcomers Club, North East Georgia Writers Association, and Investment Club in Gainsville, GA, survivors include daughter Susan (John) Kessler of Burlington, WI and sons Scott (Sandy) Ratter of Lake Zurich, IL and John Ratter of Gainsville, GA; six grandchildren, Philip and Brent Ratter, Mike, Sarah, Jennifer and Lindsey Kessler; preceded in death by parents; husband; brother Judson and sister Mareda. Funeral services Friday, March 22, 2002, 12 Noon at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Matke officiating. Interment Burlington Cemetery on Friday, March 22, 2002.
