During his concession speech, Paul Vallas showed the utmost class of all the candidates. As a Chicago Police sergeant, it was very disheartening to see the news of the murder of one of my fellow officers pre-empted by the most recent poll results. Vallas then came out and before he even began his speech, offered his condolences and assistance to this fallen officer and his family.
I wish to thank Vallas for his consideration and remembrance of my fallen comrade. In doing so, he reaffirmed that I voted for the right candidate.
