Saab has entered an agreement with Hirsch Performance of Switzerland to develop sporty engine, chassis and styling enhancements to customize its cars under the Saab Performance by Hirsch label.
The performance upgrades will be available in Europe beginning in July while Saab Cars USA Inc. is considering whether to adopt the program. In the U.S., the company is asking owners to contact it at 800-SAAB-USA (722-2872) or at www.saabusa.com to let it know whether they are interested in a performance upgrade program.
Saab Performance by Hirsch enhancements include engine and chassis upgrades to 9-5 Aero models, increasing maximum horsepower to 305 from 250 and torque to 309 foot-pounds from 258 as well as suspension, brake and wheel upgrades.
