Sol M. Levitt, 93, of Treasure Island, FL, died Sunday March 24 at his residence, born in N.Y, N.Y. and moved to Chicago in 1916 from Toronto, CN. He started to work for Sears Roebuck and Company in 1920 as a Messenger Boy and retired in 1968 as National Printing Buyer and Vice President. He served as national chairman for The Boy Scouts Of America and headed many civic groups in Chicago. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Anne; son Bob “Luckie” (Debbie) Levittino of Treasure Island; brother of Mary Hankin of Los Angeles, CA; grandfather of Michael Levitt and David Slack of Chicago; great grandfather of Jori and Mitchell Slack of Chicago. A memorial service will be held at Garden Crest Presbyterian Church, 5901 9th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL, Friday March 29, 2002 at 11 a.m. Arrangements by David C.
