Elsie H. Ruby, 91, of Aurora died of heart failure Saturday, March 23, in Jennings Terrace in Aurora. Born in Lily Lake, Mrs. Ruby was a graduate of St. Charles High School and attended Northern Illinois Teachers College. She also graduated from the Sherwood School of Music in Chicago. She was a music teacher for two years in Lily Lake and several years in Grant Park, Ill., where her husband of 71 years, Wesley, was superintendent of schools. Mrs. Ruby taught piano lessons for many years in Aurora, where she was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. For several years, she was the manager and buyer for the women’s department at Alshulers’ Clothing in Aurora. Other survivors include two sons, Mark and John; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services have been held.
