LaFern E. Klena, age 83, of Carson City, NV, formerly of Westmont and Darien, devoted daughter of the late Fred and the late Pauline Prokaski; beloved wife of the late Rudy (Dec. 24, 2001); loving mother of Nancy (Colin) Soong, William (Karen) Klena, Susan Merriwether and the late Gary; cherished grandmother of Tamara, Andrew, Logan and Garret; dear sister of Betty Elledge, Art (Gladys) Prokaski and the late Irene Shaver. LaFern and her husband Rudy owned and operated Rudy’s Sport Shop in Westmont. A member of the Westmont Ladies Auxiliary #9276 VFW, enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and especially was a loyal and lifetime fan of the Chicago Cubs.
