The public has spoken, and koalas will join the gang of Barnum’s Animals Crackers in September to celebrate the popular cookie’s 100th anniversary.
The koala garnered 48 percent of the nearly 300,000 online and mail-in votes.
Runners-up were the penguin (33 percent), walrus (10 percent) and cobra (9 percent).
