Thomas Joseph Jack, 83, formerly of Kenilworth, IL, a veteran of World War II, died March 20, 2002. He was a devoted and loving husband of Margaret; a loving father of Nancy Jack (Philip) Ryan of River Hills, WI, Thomas Joseph, Jr. (Sandra) of Greenville, RI, Robert Benton of Holland, MI; proud grandfather of Thomas Henry Ryan and Sarah Murray Jack; special uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Cynthia Murray. He loved and was loved by Margaret’s children, Gaylord (Susan) Gill of Highland, MI, Betsy (David) Spalding of Wilmette, IL, Larry (Suzy) Gill of Grand Rapids, Janie (Ray) McMillen of South Lyon, MI; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be held on April 12, 2002 at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Chapel. The family will be receiving at 10 a.m. with the service to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mary Bennett Jack Nursing Excellent Award in care of Blodgett-Butterworth Health Care Foundaton, 100 Michigan Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 or charity of ones choice.
