James M. Swets, age 63, suddenly, March 31, 2002, retired Captain with the Lansing, IL Fire Department, precious husband of Marilyn Swets, nee Vanden Bosch; beloved father of Randall (Lori) Swets, Karen (Jeff) Schaap and Jack (Pamela) Swets; grandfather of nine; dear brother of Ronald (Ruth) Swets, David (Margie) Swets and the late Warren Swets. Visitation was held Tuesday, April 2, 2002. Funeral service was held Wednesday, April 3, 2002. Memorials may be made to Mid America Reformed Seminary, 229 Seminary Dr., Dyer, IN 46311. He served the Lord in church, home and school. Praise the Lord. He was a wonderfully loved father and grandpa. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. 708-596-2710.
