CHICAGO — We are truly incredulous that the issue of the trademark for the phrase “Let’s roll” is open to question.
(“`Let’s roll’ united a nation, now it’s a trademark target,” April 4).
“Let’s roll” was part of the opening segment of every “Hill Street Blues” program for years. We find comfort in knowing that Todd Beamer was, at some point in his short life, a fan of “Hill Street Blues” and think of him and his courageous colleagues every time we watch the reruns of one of those well-acted, beautifully written programs.
