Event: Collaboraction’s “To Kill a Mockingbird” opening-night party and five-year anniversary fundraiser, at the theater company’s West Loop studio in Chicago. Enter: Collaboraction is the “edgy” theater troupe whose goal is to be a leader in contemporary theater and the fusion of the arts. Break into dance: Evening’s highlight was the dynamic Break Dancers. Or break a leg: “Mockingbird” director Anthony Moseley, still drawn to center stage, quick-changed into a green “I Love Champagne, Cadillacs and Cash” jumpsuit–all 220 pounds of him–and broke into a dance himself. Reason to jig: $4,000 was raised. “Mockingbird,” which ends today, makes way for the troupe’s “Sketchbook 2002: Summer Drawings.”
