Considering last summer’s article by Ed Sherman on John Daly’s enjoyment of sobriety (Tribune, July 20, 2001), it is hardly appropriate to state that Daly now “cuts back on alcohol,” as was stated in Sherman’s April 10 story on Daly.
He’s drinking now and he wasn’t before–the opposite of cutting back.
