Frank “Pops” “Papa” Cooper, age 79, late of Lockport, Sunday, April 14, 2002 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born in Pennsylvania, living in Lockport for 10 years. Manager for Walgreen’s in Chicago Heights for eight years, retiring in 1988. Member of Gale Gardens Senior Community. WWII Army Veteran. Preceded in death by a son Larry Cooper; a grandson Ricky Anderson; his parents Peter and Mary, nee Script, Krupa; four brothers Andy Krupa, Charles, Alex and Harry Cooper. Survived by his children Robin (Richard) Anderson of Lockport, David (Sue) Cooper of Whiting, IN and Robert Cooper of Springfield; five grandchildren Allison Anderson, Donna (William) Hunter, Linda (Rado) Jukovich, Debra (Rick) Kulas and Michelle (Brad) Allen; seven greatgrandchildren; his Goddaughter Marilyn Smelko of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews also survive. O’Neil Funeral Home, 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport, where services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Duane McDonough officiating.
