I am writing to you to voice my dislike of the newly acquired wind tarps that line the fences behind the bleachers at Wrigley Field.

As a fan inside Wrigley, these tarps are not a hindrance because they are located on fences behind the bleachers. But for fans who watch the game from the rooftops of their apartment buildings, these tarps are a huge pain.

Also the people who run businesses by selling tickets for seats on the rooftops of their buildings are also suffering.

I know from experience from sitting on a rooftop for a game before the tarps were put in that the view is already hindered, because the bleachers cover the outfield. I can’t imagine now how the view of fans in the rooftops must be blocked.

Seats on the rooftops have been an age-old tradition and for that not to continue is a shame. There are only a few rooftop seats, and Wrigley Field seats are always sold out. So buying rooftop tickets does not hurt ticket sales at all. By putting these tarps up, fans who regularly buy rooftop tickets are turning away from the Cubs. So, for the die-hard fans, the Cubs should take the wind tarps down so that everyone can watch their favorite team, the Cubs.
