Major League Baseball talks about eliminating two teams from among Montreal, Tampa Bay and Minnesota. After looking at the attendance from last Saturday’s and Sunday’s games, I think the White Sox should be considered. Here are the attendance figures from those four teams:

Minnesota, 52,410; Montreal, 23,160; Tampa Bay, 24,493; White Sox, 29,356.

When a metropolitan area of 6 million-plus only outdraws Tampa Bay by 4,900 and Montreal by 6,200, it’s time that team should move out of town, or better yet be eliminated altogether. How pathetic.

The Sox tried planting ivy to be more like Wrigley. However, it doesn’t seem to be working at Comiskey.
