Mary M. Mackey, nee McConkey, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002 in Santa Barbara, CA at the age of 82. Mary was a long time resident of Glencoe and then Chicago, as well as a summer resident of Lake Beulah, WI. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Frank J. Mackey Jr., a Chicago Attorney, and by her son, Brion Mackey. She is survived by her children, F. Joseph (Joan) Mackey III of Evergreen, CO., Montgomery (Christine) Mackey of Geneva, IL, and Wendy Mackey of Montecito, CA; she is further survived by her grandchildren, Megan, Molly, and James Mackey, Nicholas Keogh, Rod Mackey, and Kris Finholm; as well as five great-grandchildren. Mary was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Masters degree in Theology from Seabury Western. She enriched her family with her love of books, art, gardening and animals. A family service will be held at the family home on Lake Beulah.
