Ryan, age 79, WWII Army Vet., of Burlington, WI, died May 5, 2002, born Nov. 26, 1922, son of the late John and Sarah, nee Hughes, Ryan; husband of the late Dorothy Elaine, nee Buster, Ryan; survived by daughter, Patricia Petrando of Burlington, WI; son, Daniel Ryan of Alexandria, VA; two granddaughters, LeeAnn (Ben) Cordes and Beth (Joe) Duenser; three great-grandchildren, Leia and Sean Swierczewski and Cody Duenser; one brother-in-law, John “Pat” Buster; two sisters-in-law, Harriet (LeRoy) Marshall and Helen Ryan. Preceded in death by one brother, John “Mickey” Ryan; two sisters, Eileen Machroli and Margaret “Peggy” Posteck; son-in-law, Joseph Petrando; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons and V.F.W. Post #02823. Funeral Services Thursday, May 9, 2002, 11 a.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, WI. Visitation Wednesday 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
