Expensive photos

This is regarding “Photos stun astronomers; Hubble captures the early cosmos” (Page 1, May 1).

I’ll bet the taxpayers would be stunned, too, if they were to learn of the whopping cost of such pictures. They should be told–they’re footing the bill.
