Nancy Jane Link, age 67, of Palatine, IL, formerly of Akron, OH where she was born, passed away May 9, 2002 at her home in Palatine from complications of Multiple Myeloma after a six year fight against the disease. Devoted mother of the late Jack E. Link; she is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas H. Link; sons, Dr. James T. (Diane) and Stephen J. (Mary); daughter, Catherine J. Elstad (John); and grandsons, Nathan, Cullen and Quinlan Link. Nancy earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Akron where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She served on the board and as Secretary of the Prairie Woods Audubon Society in Palatine for a number of years. Visitation Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. and prayers at 9:30 a.m. Monday going to church at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. A Funeral Mass will be said at St. Theresa Church, 467 N. Benton Street, Palatine, Monday at 10 a.m., followed by interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, 1185 W. Algonquin Rd., Palatine.
