Iris Melker, nee Lafferty, passed on to be with Our Lord on May 8, 2002. Iris has been the dear wife of John Melker for 50 years; loving mother of Linda (Gary) and John Jr. (Tess); proud and devoted grandmother of Rebecca, Melissa, Melody, Melanie and Macy; dear sister of Joan, Bud and Pat. Memorial Service and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 5 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 6559 W. 92nd Street, Oak Lawn. In lieu of flowers, family requests gifts to Memorial Baptist Church in her memory.
