Adolph “Bill” Miller, has gone to live in the house of the Lord on May 8, 2002. A shy, gentle man born Oct. 15, 1912 in Saratof, Russia, he was naturalized in 1940. He was a proud member of the First Church of Christ Scientist and AARP. He proudly served in WWII. He touched the hearts of everyone he came in contact with. Married May 1, 1952, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Zeria Caldwell Chapman Miller. They moved to Morton Grove in 1959 and shared a happy home and the love of nature and gardening. Everyone enjoyed their garden and all were welcome to take a plant or cutting home. Bill and Zeria also ran the Bryn Mawr Card Shop in Chicago and they built an estate that was left to help many charities. So, in death as they did in life, they continue helping others. We have lost an amazing couple, but heaven has gained two very special angels. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 12 at Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St., Morton Grove, IL, from 4 to 8 p.m. Service at 8 p.m. Interment will be held Monday in Sheboygan, WI. Donations to the Salvation Army Officers Training, 5040 N. Pulaski Rd., Chicago, IL 60630 appreciated. Adolph “Bill” Miller was indeed a loving, caring, sharing tribute to mankind and will be dearly missed. 847-965-2500 .
