Kenneth R. “Ken” Elrod, age 49, formerly of Hinsdale, beloved life partner of 22 years of Justin “Tom” Mack of Downers Grove; cherished son of Barbara and the late Thomas J. Elrod of Orlando, FL; dear brother of Tom (Janet) Elrod of Winter Park, FL, and Richard (Lee Ann Campbell-fiancee) Elrod of San Diego, CA; dearest uncle to Tommy and Tracy Elrod; devoted friend of many. Mr. Elrod attended Butler University, Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Elrod began his professional career at Paddock Crescent newspapers as a Classified Advertising Manager. He furthered his career goals with employment at Shaker Advertising, Inc., headquartered in Oak Park, IL. Mr. Elrod served as Traffic Manager at Shaker Advertising, Inc., corporate as well as the Tampa, Florida division. More recently, Mr. Elrod served as General Manager for Grove Printing, Downers Grove, IL. Interment private. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m., May 15, at the Union Church of Hinsdale, 137 S. Garfield Ave., Hinsdale. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Planned Parenthood or the Hadley School for the Blind are appreciated.
