The second attempted child abduction in eight days took place Monday afternoon at Bardwell Elementary School, police said.
An 11-year-old girl leaving school was followed by a man who called out to her. The girl ran home, police said.
The man fit the general description of a suspect who tried to abduct another 11-year-old girl near the school May 6. In that case, the assailant chased and grabbed the girl by the collar, tearing her shirt, authorities said.
