Baseball is no longer a sport at the major leagues. It is simply a business. How can a team that basically brings only one player from last year (Sammy Sosa) to this year’s roster expect to do anything great?
This franchise has taken advantage of the ivy and the fans and the Cubs’ charisma to usurp fans’ money and dreams, and advertisers’ money and good wishes. It is very sad.
But as the saying goes, you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Time’s up.
