I think the use of cell phones while driving is here to stay because the mass of mankind wants them and the politicians would never dare take a stand against them. Actually, they are really not that dangerous. Given, there will be a few deaths each year–25,000 tops, and maybe 20,000 or 30,000 cripplings, but this is a small price to pay for the luxury of ordering pizza on the way home from work or engaging in some friendly chitchat to ease one’s loneliness.

I hope we are not going to allow a few deaths to stand in the way of progress.
