Kathryn Wright Davis, 98, of Wilmette, formerly (87 years) of the Milwaukee area, died May 16, 2002. She is survived by daughter, Judith (Caren) Reed of Wilmette; son, Emery (Bonnie) of Berwyn, PA; grandchildren, Timothy (Elizabeth) Reed of California, Elizabeth Reed Clark of Michigan, Andrew (Michelle) Reed of Ohio, Kathryn (John) Fahey of Pennsylvania and Scott Davis of Massachusetts; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, Barbara (Thomas) Cook of Beloit, WI, Nancy (Roy) Gerhard of Boise, ID and Mardie Schroeder of San Diego, CA; preceded in death by husband, Edwin Phillip. She graduated from Milwaukee’s Layton School of Art and Miss Brown’s Business College. As a community minded Milwaukee area resident some of her activities included Mil.Co. Girl Scouts Board, Pres. County Genealogical Society, Community Concerts Board, founder of Shorewood Sports Club, PTA, PEO and College Endowment. Her robust interest and participation in Daughters of the American Revolution, Mayflower Descendants, Colonial Dames, numerous patriotic and lineage societies led to many state and several national board positions. At the age of 91 she mounted a one woman art show at Mather Place of Wilmette. She was the surviving member of her Riverside High School bridge club. An energetic and patrician lady, she spent her life in devoted service to, care of and deepest love for her beloved extended family. Memorial Services Friday, May 24, 5:30 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Rd., Skokie.
