Harold C. “Bud” Miller, 84, of Bradenton, FL, died May 19, 2002, in Bradenton. He was born Feb. 2, 1918 in Chicago, IL and moved to Bradenton from Lombard, IL in 1979. He was the founder of Miller Advertising and former employee of American Can Company both of Chicago. He was a member of the Lions Club in Chicago, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10141 and American Legion Kirby Stewart Post #24 both of Bradenton. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bradenton. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Survivors include three daughters Linda (George) Phillips of Chicago, Marsha (Daniel) Visone of Naperville, IL, Carol (Robert) Dutcher of Bradenton, FL and two sons David Miller of Wisconsin and James Miller of Hammond, IN; three grandchildren Nathan, Nina and Anthony; and seven stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Kiss Miller; and one son Kenneth Miller. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 21, 2002, 4 to 7 p.m. with funeral services at 7 p.m. at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 912 53rd Avenue West, Bradenton, FL. There will be Memorial Services at a later date in Chicago, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Bishop Animal Shelter SPCA of Manatee County, Inc., 5718 21st Ave. W., Bradenton, FL 34209.
