Robert Woods Ballantine, 79, of Lake Forest, passed away May 21, 2002, beloved husband of Mary-Keith, nee Dosker; loving father of Frank (Kathy) and Sallie (John) Bailey; cherished grandfather of Robert Keith Ballantine. Born in Salem, OH, April 16, 1923. A graduate of Kenyon College, graduate studies at Princeton University and was a Banker in Cleveland, OH, Bristol, CT and Jackson, MI. Memorial service Saturday, May 25, 2:30 p.m., at Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster, Lake Forest, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Boys and Girls Club of Lake County, P.O. Box 8171, Waukegan, IL 60079 or National Trust for Historic Preservation, 1785 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036 would be appreciated.
