John Wersching, 96, entered Eternal Rest on May 21, 2002. He was the beloved husband and best friend of the late Elizabeth, nee Focht, for 75 years; the loving father of Elizabeth (the late Nicholas) Weiss, Joan (John) Deppong and Marian (Joseph) Hollerbach; the devoted grandfather of 23; great-grandfather of 54 and greatgreat-grandfather of 13. He leaves many fond nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hollerbach Funeral Home, 4022-36 N. Elston Ave. at Irving Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4350 W. Sunnyside, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Morning prayers and the final viewing will begin at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
