Bob Sakamoto’s “Time to say farewell” (Tribune, May 17) was a well-written and moving tribute to an inspirational young man, Dave Ryan. I was deeply impressed by the continued support coach Matt Foster and the Wheaton North teams extended on behalf of Dave.
Mr. and Mrs. Ryan should be extremely proud of their son, who displayed the utmost courage throughout his struggle.
