H. Alan Schlesinger, retired Minneapolis advertising executive, Sunday, May 19, at home in Edina MN. He was 87, born in Chicago, April 21, 1915, graduated from the University of Chicago business school 1936, married to the former Margaret Graver, who died in 1993. Survivors include his companion, Lois Martin of Edina; two sons, Alan of Convent Station NJ and John of St. Louis Park NM; daughter, Mary Guthrie of New York City; grandsons, Andrew of West Chester PA and Philip, now in the Peace Corps in Panama; and granddaughter Robin Schlesinger of Morristown NJ; one great-grandchild, Grace Schlesinger, of West Chester, born the day he died. The family invites friends to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, in the chapel at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 50th Street and Wooddale, Edina MN. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Minnesota Lung Association, 490 Concordia Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55103-2441.
