Instead of the Tribune editorial board labeling Merrill Lynch executives as the economic terrorists that they are and advocating jail time for these miscreants, it goes about blaming investors for not being savvy enough to sift through all the lies they were being told by everyone in the investment community, including its pathetically inept so-called watchdogs.
Any confidence that Americans might have had that the investment community was reasonably honest has been lost. You and the Bush administration seem to think that this will all blow over and will be happy only when all the wealth in America is held by a privileged few (it almost is now).
It is not foreign terrorism that is going to bring this country to its knees, it’s the CEOs and the wealthy practicing economic terrorism here at home.
