Wayne R. Barnes, age 62, at rest May 28, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. Wayne was born and raised in Bensenville, IL. and was a 45 year Veteran of the Milwaukee, Soo, CP, Canadian National Railroad. He was the dearest husband to Katherine, nee Knights; loving father of three daughters, LuWayne (Dwayne) Magiera, Julie (Anthony) Ferenzi and Shelly Barnes (Michael Naples); loving “Papa” to Matthew, Joshua, Mark and Nathalie; loving brother of Dale (Valerie) Barnes, and Juanita Melton. Wayne was preceded in death with his son Jason; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at Geils Funeral Home, 180 S. York Rd., Bensenville, IL where services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. Interment Mount Emblem. Visitation Friday 2 to 9 p.m. 630-766-3232
