Despite the matters in need of correction within the Catholic Church, the Tribune never seems to find anything praiseworthy about the 2,000-year-old institution. Its current run of insulting cartoons, not to mention its editorial expressions, would not be tolerated by any other religious group.
As a lifelong Catholic, I am offended by the Tribune. What about the majority of good and faithful priests? What about the schools, hospitals and charities established by the Catholic Church?
The Tribune is, indeed, myopic in this instance.
