Employers are becoming more aware of the fact that a little bit of accommodation in the workplace can result in a productive, motivated and satisfied workforce. At the same time, technological advances, such as amplified telephones, e-mail and text pagers, make communication much easier for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
The Chicago Hearing Society recently joined forces with Hearing Loss Link, an organization specializing in services for adults who are experiencing a significant hearing loss.
