To help shed light on many Jews’ frustration and resultant actions against many media outlets, please for a moment think about the sheer volume and attention the Israeli-Palestinian conflict receives in America and Europe. The issue garners disproportionate amounts of coverage and concern considering that there are civil wars, massacres and other blatant human rights violations occurring every day in parts of Africa, Asia and South America, each of which receives maybe a four-line paragraph in your paper and many others.
What is happening in Israel is tragic, but the spotlight that is continuously shining upon Israel leads many Jews to suspect that there are other reasons for the heightened attention besides interest in a just resolution.
Why isn’t the world clamoring with the same fervor for peace between India and Pakistan, who both wield nuclear weapons and don’t seem hesitant about harnessing their obliterating forces to accomplish their own goals?
