William John Walsh, beloved husband of Margaret, nee Gilmore; loving father of Margaret Coffey, the late Cecelia, Jeanne, William, Dolores (George) Samp, Mary (Roy) Ferguson and Julianne (David) Kafka; proud grandfather of Julie, David, Jennifer, Therese, Amy, Christine, Thomas; and great-grandfather of Melanie; dear brother of Rosemary (James) McDonough, the late Norman, Philip, James, Margaret, Elizabeth Schumann and Agnes Hayes. Graduate of Chicago Teachers College, Masters at DePaul University. He spent the majority of his career teaching 6th grade at Chicago’s John A. Farren Grammar School. Upon retirement, he was the owner of Berwyn Cycle Shop. Served in the Army during WWII. Member of many services organizations including the Berwyn Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis.
