John G. Boyle, 70, died Saturday, June 1, 2002. Born January 1, 1932, Chicago, IL. Graduate of Morgan Park High School and Benedictine College, Atchison, KS. Served as Lt. in U.S.M.C. and as Captain in the U.S.M.C. Reserves. Married in 1958 to Joyce Kopp of Chicago, IL. John is recently retired from State Farm Insurance Co. as a Claims Specialist. Resident of CA since 1979, residing in Irvine, Camarillo and more recently Carlsbad. John was preceded in death by his parents, John G. and Eleanor Sims Boyle; sister, Eleanor Crist. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; four children, Cynthia Ponce of Foothill Ranch, CA, Sharon Graves of Anaheim Hills, CA, John E. of Orange, CA and Robert P. of Ventura, CA; eight grandchildren; and brother, Richard Boyle of Chicago, IL. Mass held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at St. Thomas More Church, Oceanside, CA, Fr. Kenneth Kieffer presiding. Telophase Society of San Marcos is handling arrangements. Inurnment at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
