Robert E. Kennedy, age 70, residing in Plantation, FL, longtime resident of Dolton and Flossmoor, loving husband of 50 years to Shirlee A. (Dzork); loving father to Kevin (Linda), Judith (Scott) Hall, and Robert (Sharon); grandfather to Candice and Emily Hall, Amanda, Michael and Zachary Kennedy; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; loving brother-in-law to Audrey and Robert Wirtz, Pat and Ed Storako, Lee and Terri King, and Ruth Kennedy; preceded in death by his brother James G. Kennedy. A Korean War Veteran who worked as a banker for 42 years. His career started as a bank teller for Pullman Bank & Trust, and rose through the ranks to become President of Standard Bank & Trust. He was a member of the American Legion, Kiwanis Club, Past Chair of the Development Board at Little Company of Mary Hospital, Past President of the Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce and an avid golfer winning numerous tournaments while a member of Olympia Fields Country Club. Memorial service 10 a.m. June 18, at Infant Jesus of Prague, Flossmoor. Luncheon to follow at Olympia Fields Country Club.
