Fred R. Mason a/k/a Stopka, 69, of Chicago, passed away June 4, 2002. He was born Sept. 2, 1932 in Chicago, the son of Bernice Rak of Florida and the late Fredrick Stopka; loving brother to Gloria (Bill) Ahlstrand of Florida and the late Shirley Klug; and many dear friends and family. Memorial Services Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 6 p.m. in St. John’s United Church of Christ, 2442 W. Moffat St., Chicago. Burial will be private in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Museum at Navy Pier. Laird Funeral Home, West Dundee, is in charge of local arrangements. 847-836-8770.
