William P. McCoy, age 55, of Chicago, passed away at Christ Hospital June 3. Brother of Robert Lee (Jean) Hitchell, of Palos Hills, IL.; uncle of Mark (Amy) of Pompano Beach, FL, Janet (Tim) Dalton, Karen S. and Carol K. Hitchell; great-nephews Steven B. Hitchell and Kenneth R. Hitchell, great-niece Christina M. Dalton; also dear friends and neighbors Sandy (the late Rick) and son Johnny Gamperl; preceded in death by his parents James W. and Nellie McCoy; and his sister Irene E. McCoy and brothers Edward M. and Jimmy McCoy; and great-nephew Steven J. Novak Jr. Services will be held Sunday, June 9, 4 p.m. 7 p.m. at Stabb Funeral Home, 109 S. 5th St., Springfield, IL. followed by interment Sunday, 10 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
